I'm William Kranski.
I also go by Bill or some even call me Billy which dates all the way back to my school days. During my school days is when I really discovered that I loved photography. I am not very good at drawing or painting, so this was my way to be able to capture a moment in time and be able to share it with others. This passion to share my interests also was a drive for me to capture nature from very beautiful to extreme conditions. One of my hobbies is storm chasing, I love to capture lightning, tornadoes, northern lights, snow, blizzards, sunrises, sunsets, fog, fall colors, animals, and anything related to nature.
More recently I have been freelancing for the national media, taking videos of these extreme weather situations and their impact on people. Some of my footage has been on the likes of The Weather Channel, Good Morning America, Fox News, NBC News, and local channels. This has helped me hone my skills as a videographer.
When I was a child, I loved taking photos from anything as small as a 110 film camera to a 35 mm camera where I learned to develop my film to negatives and then to photos. Now I use Lightroom to essentially do the same. I took a photography class in high school and was asked to be on the yearbook committee. This was very cool to me as I actually got assignments to go shoot sporting events and other events that would end up in a yearbook. I still look back to that years yearbook and remember taking those pictures.
